Lead by example. It won't work unless the top leaders
perform as well as advocate community service.
Challenge all employees to be involved in the community.

involved to support employees' efforts and generate more enthusiasm.

opportunities, start with United Way, which can direct you
to various projects, long- and short-term.
Make community service part of employee performance
reviews.
Realize that each company's community service capability
and commitment are different.
Make community service activities and funding public
to encourage participation.
Set timelines and parameters for pro-bono work-and
stick with them.
